Did you get anywhere with your experiments on the ECU,s.

Actually going very well - the data provided by the ecu`s sent was invaluable, and now writing some software to see what I can do with the crashed ones I also have here

What about linkin the Airbag bulb to another bulb like the engine light one, or remove it completely?

I'm gonna do something like that when i'll remove original seat with airbags.

As of January, that will be an MOT failure :y

Well, if you link it to the engine check light, it will go on when you turn the key then off when you start the car, i can't see how it would make the car not pass the Mot.

Cos the lights dont go off at the same time, making things like this easy to spot.

So, your happy to disable the entire airbag system, then hide the fact?
Rather than illegaly butcher your speedo and invalidate your insurance, why not just fit dummy airbags (resistors) where the seats should be to keep everything else happy.

How / where to find those resistors?

Could save me TONS of work.

Fiend, well, DON'T buy cars from Modena, or at least the used ones from dealers, all of them have kinda double of the Kms they have on the tacho.

Aaand... if you'd read well be-fò to shot stoopid sentencies you'd read this car is my toy, not my daily driver, so who cares if i'll have to find a "slimey" way to pass the MOT, insurance would not be invalidated in any case, we have "renounce to driver's liability" here, you pay kinda 80 euros more every year, if yer tires are worn / wrong measure / slick tires and you crash in another car insurance doesn't care about it and pays the same, same story for coilovers, exhaust and stupid airbags, also because here in Banana Republic ANY modify you do to your car is ILLEGAL, there's no way to make it legal, so who gives a shit, just hide it as good as you can and enjoy.
I say stupid airbags just cos's i gonna fit 4 point seatbelts and bucket seats, son an airbag is gonna worth nothin on that car.
 ;)

Would he not be illegally butchering his srs system by fitting resistors?
If the car should have side airbags from the factory, and they are removed, would that not invalidate the insurance too?

if you'd read well be-fò to shot stoopid sentencies you'd read this car is my toy

is it driven on a public road, if it is then your a danger to yourself and other road users, and by the way i dont "shot stoopid sentencies" whatever that is meant to be!!!
if and only if you are using the car as a track car and towing it to the track then you can do what you like to it, but you havent mentioned that in your previous post!!!
what is annoying that you try to give totally illegal advice (in this country) to someone who wants to cure his fault within the laws i.e a contentious law abiding motorist!!!!! who doesnt want to be found out by the MOT testers as having bodged his car!!!

sorry guys rant over  :y
