Oil leak - diagnosis
« on: 12 November 2011, 23:31:43 »

A follow-on from this:

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=95559.0

I managed to fix my oil leak today.  After stripping down the front end, cleaning the sump and gettting her up on the ramp I found the leak.  Can you guess what it was that was causing the leak?

(Those who were present are barred from taking part) :y

The winner gets a half eaten jelly baby that I found between the passenger seat and center console. ;D

Loose oil filter housing?

 :y

It must have worked loose since the last oil change.  I remember putting it on a good hand tightness so I didnt even think to look there.  I was convinced it was the crankshaft seal tbh, must be the easiest oil leak to fix I have even done  ;D

Now if only I could sort out that air leak........ the one in the cabin  ::)
