Eberspaecher D3WZ
« on: 16 November 2011, 22:20:50 »

Is there anyone here who has a maintenance manual for an auxiliary heating Eberspaecher D3WZ?

I this system in my Omega but doubt if it works.

What I've found on the Internet is a manual for a VW T4 but not for the omega.

Engine type is Y2.5DTi 2003.

That engine was never fitted to UK Omegas. Might be better posting this of a BMW 5 forum :)

Hi,
I have something. Just let me know your email address. Have the same on my car (2.2 DTI), seems that is not working too. I'd like very much to find out what went wrong with yours.

its really nothing to do with the engine. This is a stand-alone diesel-powereed coolant heater.

If it is anything like the one on the Seat Alhambra, after three overheat faults it shuts down for good, or until you fix it anyway.

This auxiliary heater is mounted on multiple brands and types.
Also on several diesel versions of the omega.

How can i fix it. Is this an electrical blockage. I've heard that the glow plug often has a failure.

I have a manual for this, in pdf. I will send it to you provided that you'll send me the email address (otherwise don't know how to proceed). I've contacted Eberspaecher branch and they said that for Omega I should go to the Opel service to have a Tech2 check for error messages. Eberspaecher said they can not check for errors on Omega, using their gear. Having the manual that I will send to you is easy to check with an electrician the fuel valve & pump (external bits), but I would advise you to go to Eberspaecher to open the damn thing if required.

That's exactly what she told me. Now I'm looking for an "My Naff Code Reader" set so I can read it out for myself.

Thanx for the pdf file.
