Yes I'm not good at grammar, so, I wonder whether if you say sometimes white liar? If my child was bad a wee bit can I say her that she wouldn't get anything for Christmas?  :-\ :-\ :-\  Do not answer if you feel that this question is embarrassing a bit.

Of course I "white lie" in such circumstances. It does not occur often, but the protection of my childrens' well being, whether mental or physical, is paramount. If I do not want them to worry, or to lose their childhood innocence, it is a necessity. They will learn the "truth" when they are old enough to deal with it.  :y

OK I understand, yes you can.. :y It is OK to say "I will tell Santa you have been naughty" and that he might not come, depends on how old she is, it gets harder as they get older..... :D :D

We call it 'White Lie'.... :y

True, Vamps, but I find it hard to put it in simple language at this time of night. A good "test" for Laszlo, though!  ;) :y

:) Not sure how old your kids are but best to be quite straight with them really, at the same time educating about the issues that surround the question, imho, except for Christmas, Miss Vamps knows, she lets it slip, but is still pretending to keep us happy.... :D :D

I find a cuddle and few words of support are best. You can of course talk about subjects that interest her and suggest how you may make them more interesting. For example, if she is really keen on a book, or hobby, or a pop star, suggest that you may see about getting her something related. They love the anticipation...the prospect of getting something they really want. Sometimes, it creates a better atmosphere that just buying an unexpected present. When they go to sleep with words "Best Daddy ever!", you know you have brought her happiness.  :y :y

No need to apologise... Your English is better than our Hungarian! ;D

When Cem joined he struggled a little with the written language. It's understandable really because it's not easy ;) Now he can even swear in written English ;D You will soon be the same :y

Yes, I'm sure!  :y To accelerate this process sometimes I will ask you for a little help like above. My problem with swear is that they are unexplorable in dictionaries and teachers won't teach them ... :'( :'( :'( but I already suspect something about swearing... ;) And if we spoke about this I would catch the occasion to authorize here everybody to correct me proposing something better when I use abusively anything. Please throw away your legendary politeness a bit and support me to improve my (real or imagined) knowledge... :y :y :y THX a lot !!!  :y
