Pulling radio out is not same than disconnetcting battery for 2 hours ?

But they got the Bose logo programmed I have thought that its is shown only when radio is programmed to Bose-mode
so the radio's output levels are set right for Bose amp. So they have maneged to connect Radio then ??
Or can logo be programmed without connection to radio ?

The Bose logo is when you programm the CID for Bose. The radio is programmed seperately.

I got "My Naff Code Reader" and tried to connect to radio , cid , cd  an gps :

Radio : pin 7 first but tries other pins too - no connect

cd :pin 7 first but tries other pins too - no connect

gps : pin 8 first but tries other pins too - no connect

CID  : pin 8 connect OK , in delivery mode , id: 24459629,1599,1201,0707,046,1
i think the first is cid's GM number but old and new is 24439378 why ?

then gives fault 191-can bus max config - list not present

I will remove the Radio for a day,  when I find my Radio removal tools .....

I've seen the CD (NCDx setups only) go a bit wonky on the diagnostics line, stopping comms with *anything* on the same diags line, such as Engine ECU.  Oddly enough, often after "My Naff Code Reader" has been talking to it.

Cure seems to be removal of CD changer for a while (so pulling out the stereo in your case for a couple of hours).


To be honest, "My Naff Code Reader" seems a bit dangerous with NCDC setup, probably best avoided. Best kept away from key programming for similar reasons as well. Stick to dealer equipment for these tasks.

If i remember right I managed to connect vai pin 7 to elect. air con ? first i thought that pin 7 is loose from diagconnector

I removed the radio and think I found the fault 

Diag crimp terminal in radio cage is too deep or bent somehow so it won't connect to radio.

( Looks brown in pic upper plug , mid row , 3 from left )

So how I remove the metal cage and where to get new crimp terminal ? this is smaller than normal iso terminals.

Its a standard size, and decent car stereo place should stock.

If asking at a local car audio shop, the smaller pins at the top are referred to as "Mini ISO" unlike the larger pins in the middle and bottom that are "Standard ISO"
