With everything else going on I forgot my 30 minute meeting with Patrick Vieira yesterday in a Committee Room at the Houses of Parliament in relation to his role as Goodwill Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organisation

Too early to tell - we agreed to meet up again, he has my contact details but there are many demands on his time. He said he liked the solutions we explored but poilitics can get in the way.

That sounds interesting but is he just a face, or is there any content there?

He says he wishes to take this role very seriously and to encourage Africans to do a lot more for themselves to improve matters. Complex subject but I think he will have a go - a lot depends on whether our politically correct beaureaucrats will dominate his agenda and slow things to their pace.
