I got 28mpg out of my 3.2 other day on my run to London  ;D ;D

Manual or auto, a well serviced 4 potter should be able to crack 30mpg easily on long run.

Air filter been changed recently? Fuel filter? Oil changes?

Mine was doing 32mpg on the motorways at 70ish for 100 miles or so.

That dropped to 30ish on the way back home due to going a tad faster!  :y

Forgot to say, that was in a 3.0 Auto, so I would expect 35ish in a 2.0 IMO.

Yes and yes, to both of those.. especially the latter, I suspect.

Oh and ignore Tunnie's mpg, he drives like your grandmother. ;)

What you have to remember is a lot of the people here, ermmm how shall I put this.... carry extra "ballast" - They also have digital throttles fitted, its either "on" of "off"  ;D ;D ;D

Seriously though i get 25-28mpg usually out my 3.2 & 30-34 out of my 2.2

Sounds like it needs a good service!  :y :y

To make a significant advance on the 1800kg kerb weight of the car through body mass would be a real feat of dedication, IMHO. ;D
