Old Uni friend posted pictures of his trip to Paris, I noted, what looked like pictures from Eurostar, prompted me to ask him, how was it, booking, could you take your own picnic onboard and such. Without him sharing I would not have asked, yes I could google for said answers, but nice to hear it from a friend
See, in that scenario, I would have rang someone I knew who had been on there. Or even Eurostar themselves.
But then I go out to shops, rather tahn sit on my arse doing it all online
Yup your old fashioned. But....
You posted some time ago about the Chiltern Slug, so why did you post that to the whole world?
You said how crap a particular product/service was. You wanted everyone to know your thoughts on it. Errr news flash, thats what people do on facebook & twitter
- At least on facebook you control who can see it, unlike OOF
Notice a few other people here blabbing on about showing things to whole world, don't understand it, and so on errrrr
news flash OOF is not exactly a private website

The Chiltern Slug was a very public outburst on how crap their service is. A vent.
I wouldn't have wanted to force it upon
virtual friends in a closed circle, as I assume they would not be interested in it. For that reason, I suggested the guideline that all threads should have a meaningful title (which seems to be slipping lately, guess I'll have to play Mr Scrouge again to drag it back in line

)
I still fail to see the point of BookArse and idiotter. Nobody has yet showed me a use for it. BUT I'm happy they have found a use to keep in touch with
virtual friends. I personally cannot understand this. Its always been called a gay dating site in my circles, long before it became the most popular of the social networks, and it probably always will be. It, to this day, remains on the Gay List, along with marrow, gold cars and Apple hardware.
