Replacing Wishbones

Noticed the rear bush on drivers side is starting to split and has a fair bit of movement in it. :'(

I have a set of new bones from Allgerman parts in readyness to replace  :y but need to know some info about the bolts/nuts.

Is it best to replace both front/rear mounting bolts and nuts with new ?? if so any part numbers available and idea of costs .

Just use the bolts and nuts supplied with the new lemforder wishbones and re use everything else.

 Nothing more is required.

Although if you have hids you may need to find a small nut to bolt the hid sensor on with, as the current crop of lemy bones seem un tapped.

Just found them in the shed aftre being burried for a long time  ;D ;) , and had a closer look.

They are Febi  Bilstein and have  part # 15399 Left side and 15400 Right side.

No bolts /nuts were supplied however both have drillings for sensors accounting for l/h or r/h drive

Assume these are acceptable as oem parts then ?

I wouldnt fit them at all personally... But then i'm overly fussy compared to what other members fit.... And certainly not without being certain the bushes are firm. In my experience there have been some febi wb's produced with exceptionally/dangerously soft bushes.

Only you can judge... Iirc the dodgy ones i saw had red/brown bushes.

Had them in storage for around 2 years.

Have looked and the inner part of the front bush has a light cream/white insert but all other parts of the actual bush assembly are black .Had a thick screw driver throgh both bushes and they feel very firm so  trust my units are from a decent batch and sure they are a vast improvement on those on car as I have never replaced them in my 7 years and 135k of ownership,so think I will risk it on this occasion.

Is it suggested that any of the fixing bolts /nuts are then renewedunlike others I have replaced on other family members cars in the past.Expect pinch bolt and nut would be worth replacing anyway.

I agree 100% Febi is piece of s%*# . Used it on couple of my cars, and after one year they had to be replaced, wasted my money and my time.

I would use the Febi and fit front polys to them, I have said before that for me, the Lemforders are not worth the money

And having seen the rear bushes on a certain set of Febi wb's, if the op's are the same they are only fit for the bin.

...unless he also has access to a press of course, and the ball joints are reliable.
