us dirty smokers
« on: 10 December 2011, 21:53:07 »

all smokers out there what do you think about the new fire safe cigarettes?? i noticed that a pack i bought tasted disgusting and i mean disgusting also they kept going out, i thought that i had bought a snide pack but the next one was the same, it was then i started looking on the net and found out that these fire safe cigarettes are now law, now i know alot of you will jump on the bandwagon and say "give up then" but after 35 years not that easy, i also dont like not being told about this new cigarette upon reading the internet a hell of alot people are actually getting sick smoking this cigarette, people are asking questions about why we were not told and has proper research gone into them.
i know the world population is high and people are living longer but think is an underhanded way to kill off people   :-\

I thought they'd always had 'fire safe' (i.e. don't burn unless you're puffing on them) cigarettes ...

... called cigars?

Note to "fiend61":

Never mention smoking, drinking, eating fatty foods, or indeed any other personal consumption habit on here, as the sanctimonious will always crawl out of the walls to miss your basic point entirely.  ;) ;) ;D

Friend61 says that 'they' are trying to kill smokers off? The truth of that is that anyone who smkes tobacco is doing that voluntarily all by themselves and of their own choice! 35 years a smoker and its hard to stop? I did after 40+ with no help........
Roll ups or whatever, they all cut years of your life and affect your general health to the point they are not worth having. I found out after smoking heavily for 40 years then gave up without help. It was hard, yes, but now I reap the benefit of tasting food as it was meant to be and smelling things as they ought to smell. Thats not to mention I am financially better off and can do many things I could not do before without getting out of breath. My home now has the benefit of the white paintwork staying white, the carpets and fabrics smelling fresh too while my old car smells of leather like a new one because it has never been smoked in by anyone. I am also thankful that I now know that I can enter a room and not be the one who carries that awful smokers stink in with me.
Personal choice should remain with those who choose to smoke, its their shortened life and deteriorating health that may eventually bring them to the point they give up too.
Now that I have re-read this post I can see that there is nothing at all in it that should upset any smoker because I have agreed that the right to smoke is their choice and it should be respected. No doubt though that someone will decide to soapbox it but do I care? Nope, not at all because its all true.   ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

ok alot of people hear are missing my point, the eu and america just decided to introduce these fire safe cigarettes without public knowledge or any written testing results to hopefully reduce the number of cigarette related fires, when i say they are making people sick i know there are lethal chemicals in all cigarette but for people to fall ill after only smoking a few of these cigarettes points to something not right.
i have found myself that i cant smoke my usual brand as it now dries my throat out, sets me off coughing and the main reason is that they taste crap. i think if this keeps on the tobacco companies are going to have another huge lawsuit put up against them
methinks though taken that with not enjoying thse "new" cigarettes maybe it is time to chuck it in and give up  :y
