Cabin heater gives off very little heat when the revs are low and lpg take longer to cut in from cold.

Imo it time to give the coolant system a good flush out.
I know there is alot of cr*p in there so where is the best place to plug the hosepipe in and the best place to let it all out ?

Have a look in the maintenance guides.  Probably is a help in there......

Hi Steve,

I've found that if you disconnect the plug in hoses that you can connect a hosepipe to the ends of the heater matrix. You will need to soften the end of the pipe with a hot air gun - which will allow it to form a nice tight fit with the pipe. Connect a 2nd short length of hose to the other pipe in the same way which will allow the output flow not to drench the engine bay/you.

Connect to a tap and then control the flow and watch the crud come flowing out. Then swap the connections over to reverse flow. Do this a couple of times and the jobs done.

Be careful not to use too much pressure/flow.

When you have finished the matrix will be full of water, so when you refill the system bear that in mind with the coolant mix to get the ratio correct.

I'd also recommend a few drops of fairy liquid in the header tank, cuts through all the grease and crud in there, works wonders, just make sure you get it all out

Make sure its literally only a couple of drops otherwise its a bugger to cleanse properly.  Its use is as a grease cutter, not soapy suds, and there shouldn't really be much oil in there.........

Automatic washing machine liquid type stuff is better.Helps clean without all the bubbles.
