bloody puncture
« on: 16 December 2011, 13:29:30 »

so a matter of a few  weeks after new tyres all round, and the offside rear picks up a nail just by the inner sidewall edge....    BUGGER

not repairable, so a new one ordered.....

will have to wait till tuesday to get it fitted....

and it appears my car has no jack....  ,  thankfully i have a trolley jack ,  but discovering i could not fit the spare at the side of the road was a little bloody annoying....

to add insult to injury, it means buying another of these Neutons,  which, are frankly, not very good.....     or it means buying an entire new rear pair....    at Xmas,   not bloody likely.....

Max, i'm not sure if your particular puncture falls into this category but this year i've had 3 punctures out of 4 new tyres (all different tyres!!) and all in the same place as yours due to nails & bloody screws >:(. However, two of them were able to be saved by a 'Major Repair'  (tyrefitter speak). It may be worth asking if yours can be similarly salvaged? Good Luck! :y

Max,

I've got a couple of spare Omega jacks here.  Would you like me to put one aside for you?  :y

a day of pancakes for us both then Debs....    sorry to hear that....  Phil, apparently not....    it's right on the curve...

James,  yes please......    we'll sort it when your towbar gets sorted...

i WAS planning on seeing TB this weekend to fit the screen that just came back from Dave for another attempt....    might have to shelve that plan temporarily....    and apparently Mrs TB may take a dim view of playing with CID's on Xmas day....

At least yours was a Neuton. Mine was a rather expensive Pilot Sport 3.
