right so the car is nearly starting now, getting  a new sensor within the hour which should solve that problem...

however the clutch is right to the floor, pull it up, it stays in place
slight touch on the pedal and it goes straight down to the floor where it stays 

im guessing this is because there is no resistance and it may need bleeding? but how?

Hi D, easy way to do this by yourself is to buy a Clutch/bale bleeding kit from halfords around £20 very very easy to use, just read up on box, undo nipple on gearbox with clear pipe conneted and repeat till you see no more air bubbles

This whole engine change has been bit of a nightmare the boy is on his way now to meet another member to borrow a new crank shaft sensor.Engine just wont fire dont spose u got any ideas?

Well silly as it may sound i did a head gasket in a 3.2 and removed loom before and forgot to plug the fuse back in over top the car battery that runs ecu i think, so my one just turned over and over but no fire, only way i noticed with no fuse no EML light on inside car when lights up after turning key. might this be your problem?

Yeah we all do silly things,ha. But all the lights come on and I have done the paper clip test and it comes up with code 31, which I am reliably informed means crank shaft sensor is buggered? Hope this is the case as suppose to be in Norfolk now at a drift meet But thanks for your help must say how good and friendly people are on this forum!

Bleed the clutch back to front ie pump the fluid in through the nipple
