Gareth, well done on having the nuts to do this yourself. I'm learning everytime I get on here. And next time something goes wrong I'll be giving it a bash myself ;) I'm nowhere near confident to do cam cover gasket but i'll get there ;)

By the way, talking of gaskets, there is a lot of talk about head gasket going. on my understanding that the ''gasket'' is the seal then what exactly do the ''heads'' do?

cheers TB. TBH i have nothing that needs doing at the moment as i did the coolant flush on my own  :y

ill be doing my oil change in 3000 miles time which i know how to do but will prob need a bit of supervising if thats OK :)

Passenger side is a total nightmare!

When you order the seals, check on the 90501652. I have a 2.5, and I cannot find where these go. Maybe 3.0??? At £14 each they are a bit expensive to have on the shelf!!

Is that the ones that sit under the inlet trumpets??

I was going to do these as a matter of 'just to be sure' but then when I found out how not cheap they are, decided I'd wait til I thought I'd need them which I didn't anyway...
