The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

Not exclusively. We do have a small percentage that are slower in assessing the gravity of a situation, 'tho not quite as high a percentage as those on the wrong side of Offa's. ;D

Reminds me, years ago a car coming towards me was going far too fast in very wet conditions. It aquaplaned at about 60mph, span 180deg onto my side of the road, went back onto his side of the road, just before he went past me backwards, he went up the kerb across a pavement which was fortunately empty, collected a road sign with the cars rear end before it took on a big oak tree behind that. Needless to say the oak tree won.  ::) ::) ::)

It took me about another 100yds of driving before I realized how lucky I had been, as I was a total passenger to circumstances, along with several cars behind me.  ::) ::) ::)

I like to think if that were me then I would have pulled straight back in behind the truck as soon as I saw the lorry headlights on my side of the road, but there is a fair chance the video makes it look there is enough time to react like that when in fact there isn't.
Either way, my sphincter (if I still had one) would have definately been making involuntary movements if that had been me in the vehicle doing the overtake.

It looks like the back end of the truck slapping the barrier helped to bring it back in line a bit quicker, luckily for them guys.  :o
