So .......  :-[ you plug this into the back of the recorder, put the WiFi code in (somehow  ???) and you can watch Youtube on your telly   :-\ :-\

Yup, bit slow on my Wi Fi though.

Thanks. ;) Something I might well consider.  :y :y

Research I did suggests that the dongle route can give patchy results depending on installation, distance from router, type of router, type of dongle etc., so I have just ordered a pair of Solwise passthrough homeplugs for £52 inclusive, as described here: http://www.avforums.com/forums/networking-nas/731564-homeplug-faq.html. As you can see these also have limitations. I will advise on my results. :y

My tv is connected wifi to my router and has no issues with connectivity......personally i think if the tv wasnt connected over wifi and wanted to know how good connectivity was going to be where the Humax was going to sit, I would have placed my lappy there and tried copying a 200mb-300mb file accross the network from the lappy.....save spending £52 when possibly a £5 usb wifi dongle would work, imo  :)

Fair point, but mine is to connect to my desktop through two brick walls. Friends with similar setups have had mixed results with dongles.:y
