It took a week for the back of my hand to heal after the last time I changed a thermostat - that was on her Smart - the (single) temp sender is part of the assembly, but a similar price IIRC. Once the B bolt has been tackled, the Omega's will be a walk in the park.  :y :y

I took the easiest but most expensive option of ordering it from my local dealer so didn't do any homework. Thanks for the info though.  :y :y

Mine was £51.72 including a 'stat housing to block seal & 2 O rings for the housing to tube seal. Oh well! C'est la vie!  ;) ;)

How the Flying *@*! are you supposed to get the thermostat housing to part company with the ally pipe that then connects to the top radiator hose???  >:(
I guess that the dealer that did the head gasket before I bought the car swapped a spring hose clip for the Jubilee hose clip that's there now & put the 3 washers behind the head of the b'stard bolt  ;)

Leave the bastard bolt in, remove the 2 thermostat housing bolts and waggle the housing with a mole wrench until it breaks the seal with the transfer pipe, then remove the bastard bolt, as shown in the video. :y

Not a chance! Tried waggling & wiggling from either end. It's out now after I got nasty with the 'stat housing! I could just get a windy recip saw in to cut the end off. Even in the vice the chopped off end needed 'help' with saw lines down its length. I'm glad I bought the whole thing now.   ;) ;)

All done & dusted.
EML on when finished & for some strange reason TC light  ???. Then plugged IACV in & throttle postion switch  ::) ::) EML still on  ??? ??? Then plugged EGR valve in and all lights off.  ::) ::) ::) ::) I was cold & wanted to get in the house .............  ;D ;D ;D ;D

That's very definitely the 1st & last V6 thermostat I ever fit, by comparison, my diseasal Astra's 'stat took 10 mins from start to finish.
