I wouldn't be disheartened. That's a lovely motor and I love that interior colouring.

Yes, a few things to do but good stuff if you have trade contacts!

Aside from the cosmetics, have you ensured the engine is good? Cambelt replaced/need replacing? Serviced?

All in all looks good. Well done!  :y

It's not in as good condition as I envisioned it when you said it was an ex funeral car, but then as you say - only really small stuff to deal with and I know that you and yr hubby can deal with all of it with ease.

And yes guys that's a DeLorean it the background.

Claires collection of cars is a thing to be envied!

Oh my god is that a delorean you have. :o :o
I was wondering that too....3rd pic on the left?

we've got 2 - his and hers you could say, mine has the baby seat in it for our daughter  :)

I bought mine off Ebay in 2002, it was in San Diego and being sold as 'spares or repairs', I got it for £2600 plus shipping, taxes, etc., so it owed me £4100 to my door, I've been restoring it over the last 9 years with help from friends in the DeLorean Owners Club UK, and she's currently insured for £18k  :)

ayup Murph, didnt know you were on here too *waves*

Webby, the servicing isnt quite the FSH that the seller claimed, its FVSH up to 51k, then the next stamp in the book is at 91k, again at a Vauxhall dealer, were it had a full service including cambelt.  That was done about 2 years ago, so hopefully it wont need a cambelt for a couple more years.  Engine is clean, with no obvious leaky or oily bits to worry about, the MOT is due mid March, so I'll put it in for MOT well before then and see what Neil's verdict is.......   :-\

As you'll see from my forum sig, we have a slightly eclectic collection of cars......

lol, really!  we're staying at a Eurocamp site, but we're stopping off on the way there and back for one night at the site in the Loire that we stayed at in 2011.

We've got a 3 bed mobile home booked, I think we're staying in Salignac.

no problemo, here's some before and after shots of mine:

Tilbury Docks, 17 Oct 2002

October 2002

Feb 2008 after the bodywork resto and dashboard recovered:

August 2011 - Crich Tramway village (doing publicity for their 'Time Travel Day' with the DeLorean Owners Club UK)

This is my other half's De on wedding duty, its pretty much in the same condition he bought it in from New York in 2005

we do quite a lot of weddings, school proms, etc, with the cars if anyone's interested   ;)

Used to do those French Life sites every summer, but haven't been to Southern France for about 5 years now.

We're going with friends, rented what can only be described as a very large farmhouse.

sounds good mate, I think if there was more of us going, then a farmhouse would be the way to go for us, but as there's only me, Phill, Kez and my mum, a 3 bed moby on a park is enough for us.

Funnily enough, 11 days in June, is cheaper then the 5 days we had last Aug/Sept!  Just shows how much holiday firms rack up the prices in the school holidays.......

And yes, the De's get alot of attention, theres no such thing as a 'quick trip' to the shops or the petrol station lol

Agreed, we always used to go with friends, and would have a mobile home (or cottage, as they called them, as they were made to look more like chalets) per couple.  Always a great laugh :y.  Except the year when the MV6 had to come home a week later on a lorry  :-[

We've got a large farmhouse this time, as it's one of the gang's 25th anniversary, so a lot of their family wanted to come, so its about 15 of us :o

Not sure what cars we are going in yet - most of them are flying, but Paul and I would prefer to drive.  If he takes his Morgan, we'll take 2 cars, else we may just take 1 car between us.
