Another outage, sorry

Need to fit more memory in the physical server upon which OOF resides.

This will involve shutting down all the virtual machines, OOF included, and shutting down the hypervisor, switching the old girl off, bunging the extra RAM in, running some tests, bringing the hypervisor back up, and then in a controlled way, bringing the virtual machines up slowly.

The hypervisor reports its been up for 6 months, so guess it's probably due some patching, or even an upgrade. Not sure if I'll do this at the same time....   ....probably not - MDTM's rules about too many unknowns and all that ;D


RAM upgrade, about 2hrs
Hypervisor patching, about 3hrs
Hypervisor update, about a day

That gives me the perfect excuse to fit my thermostat instead of wasting time here .........................  ;D ;D ;D
