Dianne Abott - racist ?
« on: 05 January 2012, 10:39:38 »

No place for someone as stupid as Ms Abbott in a position of influence imo. It isnt the first time her big mouth/small brain combination has got her into trouble.

She later wrote her tweet had been "taken out of context".

How do you take a tweet out of context? They're only 140 characters long! ::)

I would imagine that the opposite of what she said would be a white MP stating that black people always play the victim and we should ignore it. If that were to happen the person concerned would have a career spanning no more than 10 minutes.
They would not only be sacked from the front bench, but wouldhave the whip withdrawn and be forced to resign their seat and disappear from public life for good imo.
I wouldnt be surprised if Millipede sacks her from the front bench tbh,as shes utterly useless and not particularily popular in the party anyway. She lost any chance she ever had off having any credibilty when she sent her son to a private school after years of banging the drum for their abolition.

She won't be sacked because Milliband is spineless and in the pockets of the far left, where racism is seen as a one way street!!  >:( >:( >:(

His spin doctors may remind him that he needs to generate a more positive (strong/decisive/macho) image for the media,so it will be interesting to see what the outcome is.

Racist - it is became general and political correct swearing you can use in public media without being in trouble caused by used that. But the more "racisting" the less attention this word gets. Like  word "terrorist", nowadays the world is full of racists and terrorist thanks to the media and a few really ones are swimming in enjoy of being invisible...Some years ago I heard here a gipsy leader how said that using this word "gipsy" was equal a spiritual terrorist assault against Hungarian gipsy community. So I guess that these words and many others are beginning to be worn a bit. Remember : the more number something are the less value they have!

But back to her : really a special cocktail of big mouth but less brain ... ;D ;D ;D

According to a political commentator interviewed by the delectable Kay Burley at lunchtime today, it is sociologically impossible for black people to be racist (a proven fact apparently)  - in the interests of balance I must point out that he was black, so it must be right. :y

A comedian I rather enjoy has an interesting skit about how the most racist people on the planet are the people with any ethnicity other than white.. He comes at it from the perspective of being (ethnically) from India, but born and raised in Canada.

Many a true word uttered in jest, and all that.

She might be racist, but surely anyone being a socialist with her jealous beliefs based on ignorance is infinitely worse. Vote UKIP, a proper Tory party.

She got into trouble with Andrew Neill on This Week about a year ago when she stated that no-one loves their children as much as Jamaican women love theirs and therefore Jamican children traditiopnally were very well behaved. He immediately came back at her, saying that was a racist comment, just as much as if an English woman had said the same. He also pointed out that she had sent her son to a private school rather than her local state school due to her stated belief that there was a high level of bullying at the local school - a school which had many children whose ethnic background was - Jamican.
She is a first class moron. She was the first black female in the house of commons, which was tokenism. An early example of positive discrimination. That is the only reason she is there. If merit came into it she wouldnt get a job cleaning the toilets in Westminster.

That's a bit strong imo, but you cannot deny that if the tables were reversed and she was white talking about black people the push from the party resignation would have happened about an hour after it broke the news!
