The number is what you quote when you walk into a dealership.

You go online onto the ABS forum and there you find the login details to the TC website (which is really just a glorified pricelist); these login details are shared by everyone because they actually belong to the same person that the TC account belongs to (the treasurer of ABS, IIRC) - everything is in his name.

So don't be surprised if the parts man at Vx asks why you've just driven from Essex, and why your name isn't whatever his name is, the first time you use the TC number..

I see. Thanks Aaron.

So get signed up for ABS. They give me a TC number that I can log on to see the Vx TC pricelist. And then I go to the dealers and basically quote that number  :D

I got t now.

Cheers lads ;)

No ......  ;)
The only number you need is the ABS TC number which you quote to the parts bod, no need to log on at all apart from to see the TC price before you get there.  ;)

Ok, thanks guys ;)

Has anyone had any problems with them not recognising ABS? I take it not as there's the TC number but just thought I'd ask  :y

Absolutely. http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=97927.0

I can personally recommend Andy for parts by mail order. The advantage over my local dealer is that he knows the Omega inside out so supplies the right bits first time.  :y

Thats up to you, but andyc has offered OOF members access to Trade Club prices via the dealership he works at :y

Guess having your own means you don't cop any postage charges, but I find Grose's a bit of a PITA to get to. Their parts dept seem OK, but heard some scare stories about the service dept at the main site (Kingsthorpe).

I tend to use Bridge in Banbury, as I have a good relationship with the parts department there.  I rarely go there though, as Banbury is the land of the inbreds. I send Mrs TB in to pick the stuff up. Its nearly on here way home ::)
