Hi all could anyone  help with a problem i have with cold starting on petrol before gas switches over .L

Sorry guys car is facelift 2.2.cd, auto  converted 9 months , no problem on gas but lumpy tickover on petrol starts ok but it not smooth until switch over,also cannot drive away until warmed up , i dont have access to code  reader . cheers. L

Who converted it? Multipoint or mixer system?

As an initial guess, and it is a guess because there isn't enough info yet, I'd say the long term fuel trims have drifted due to poor LPG setup

You need to get it on a decent code reader that can look at the live data and check the trims

As said, you need to get the codes read :y

Was it a professional installation or DIY? And do you know what brand LPG kit it is?

My initial guess still stands from the info you have supplied so far... But it's still a guess ;)

As Ld says, suspect long term fuel trim has drifted due to incorrect jet size on the lpg kit.
Enquire if they have a code reader that is fuel trim capable, or it will be a waisted trip. They, or someone, needs to confirm lt fuel trim before anything else. Got that t shirt.

If it's fuel trim on LPG, running it on petrol only for a couple of days should fix the cold starting issues. LPG system needs a check over and re-calibration at the minimum, IMHO.

Why am I thinking a possible CTS fault, rather than a trim issue ::)

It's a possibility, that would be eliminated by running it only on petrol for a while. ;)

They're the professionals, they should know ;)

But, TBH, I have no experience of those injectors so can't help out any more but if it were the ones I've used, about 2mm
