Premium wont give any more power. Its a matter of debate whether it gives some mpg increase. I tried it and didnt notice any gains. Some people swear it helps. ;)

the volvo i used to have did run on premium unleaded due to the ron being higher than non premium but it did run a lot better and you could tell by how it started what fuel was in the tank....the omega gets just normal unleaded :y

Just to clarify, premium unleaded is standard unleaded 95 octane.

Super unleaded is the more expensive stuff, 97/98+ octane.

That's super unleaded, pretty much the highest octane you can get in the UK afaik.

You can even run todays F1 cars on it.

Thanks  :y  So this is the best fuel to use even though it does cost more.

I use the shit that costs around 70ppl, you have to latch the pump on, and it smells like somebody had a curry the night before.

Don't notice any difference between that and petrol.

The one I used today didnt latch on. It spat foul smelling gas all over me and "burnt" my hand. Stings like break, even now.
Reprted it to the remedial in the garage who tried to tell me there wasnt actually anything wrong with it,its just a bit awkward. >:(

I used some sort of super fuel once, seemed to get better mpg but still not cheaper due to extra cost, IME anyway.

Bp Ultimate for my 3.2 which consistently keeps the dreaded pre cat emissions fault codes at bay for each bank.  I don't suppose it makes much difference to performance but every time I put standard unleaded in my tank I get these up and it then takes an age to reset without a Tech 2.
