Center console conversion - US style with cup holders

Getting sick of the missus complaining about the lack of cup holders so I said that she needs to help me get a center console from the US shipped over (not an issue)

Does anyone know if these are a like for like replacement?  ie no bodging?

I think they're subtly different shapes for LHD and RHD, so probably not a simple a change as you might think.

Err...different shape from where?  :o No, they are the same unless someone shows me the difference.

Got 1 here,but part of the curved edge is broken..only about 10mm so still holds cup/can fine.

Drop me a pm with email addy if interested and will send over a picture as being computer dummy cant upload on the forum.

Search for pics of Jims car.  Sure that has cupholders fitted and he gets them out whenever he is prompted to...  ;D

As looking at the pics showing the cup holder installed it seems it woud fit facelift also  :-\

Nope, only Pre/mini-facelift as the arm rest is completely different on a facelift. ;)

Although I'm sure someone has fitted a VW Golf/Polo/Lupo Rear cup holder under a facelift arm rest with good results :-\ :-\

Yup, a hundred dollars for a second hand Omega arm rest is too much but thne again, as cupholders for a facelift are rare as hens teeth or rocking horse poo I'm still planning the explanation to SWMBO for this investment  :y
