Remote fob only half working?

Started happening tonight can unlock but cant lock or open boot. Swapped battery ok,and I can hear the buttons clicking (even at my age), any thoughts. 2000 Elite.

Sounds like its probably the motor or something then, if both keys are acting in the same way?

Opens fine manually with the key so thinking not the motor, but thanks anyway.  :y

Sorry, read the first post again. Is it only the boot that won't work with the fob?

Im assuming reciever is ok as I can remote unlock, but lock or open boot with fob.

Ok, was just thinking there may be something trapped or obstructing the lock / mechanism, but not relevant now  :-\
Is it worth resyncing the fob? At least then you could rule that out?
