HI ive got a 99v ex police mv6 estate 3.0, as the ride hight on police spec springs were huge i.e 4"+ from 225 60 15 tyres to wheel arch i found a set of imrscher red springs & front struts for £20 in a scrappy ive fitted them onto car but in doing so 1 of the rear self level shocks sheered the top pin off with an almighty bang spraying fluid everywhere! i bought off ebay a pair of monroe air assist rear shocks with pipe & guage, i removed fuse from S,L kit & after fitting them & doing what kit instructions said on test drive Very bouncy & loud knocking from rear even with guage at max in green section? i called irmscher & they said there kits are 25/30mm max drop over standard & the mv6 model is already 15mm lower as standard..? but i noticed a huge drop of 40mm on front & 60mm on rear from police spec springs but the car sits perfectly level

But as shockers were still knocking i called monroe who said that the shocks are only designed to fit cars with standard ride height & do not fit a standard mv6 & they dont list a shock for an mv6 either... ive tryed everywhere to source standard s,l shocks but priced at £180 each +vat! i calnt find anybody who do a standard mv6 shocker that can accomadate a drop of any height...? speaking to PVD, Vauxhall, LMF Vauxhall, Courtney sport etc they say only Bilstein do a B6/B8 shocker or a B12 complete kit for it now with 4xB8s & eibache 30mm springs £618.00 or FK coilovers £575.00 .... Dont know what to do... i use the car for 4 things... 1 daily driver, 2 drift racing & track days, 3 work car which means hauling upto 250kg in the boot, 4 towing a 3500kg car trailer so the S.L kit perfect & coil overs i can raise rear via spanners or use s,l to stiffen it up stop it goin too low but its trying to find a setup for all uses that dont cost a fortune... i want to try keep the drop ive got if poss just need to stiffen rear up as im running frontera front dampers modifyed to fit atmo so i can use car with small airbags wiv shraider valves but they are 20years old & 1split in bham goin over a speedbump & left rear on a rounderbout lastnight & now its bouncy again & knocking!! the airbags worked perfect if they were a bit bigger coz i cud maybe mod them into s.l system & when i have weight in rear pump them up but i still need 2 rear shocks to work lowered or raised or would standard s.l do it if i angle the sensor on rear wishbone not to raise it too high? because i got a 2nd hand one fitted them both on but as it was pumping up they lifted the car over 5" from tyre to arch then the 2nd had one blew & when deflating its self back down after the old one then blew aswel so i couldnt test the theory... i hope this kinda makes sence?? could i have a contact number if replying or if easyer mine is 07534 967604 as this is my 1st message & unsure how it all works...? hope you or anybody else can help..? Oh BTW car is now sat on 17" alloys with 225,45,17 fronts & 245 40 17 rears, from the 225 60 15 original steels that police had fitted.

Has anybody modified airbags off the S.L system & how do u regulate the hight?
& what dampers can i use for lowered rear springs apart from bilstein b8s?
Does anybody have anything that could help part kits shocks/springs/airbags/coilovers?
