Dti drive belt installation
« on: 20 January 2012, 15:02:05 »

Hi guys tell on my dti I've complain of a constant squeal from the belt. I can't seem to find a diagram of set up. So the question is have I put the belt on right after it snapped. Does the best run clean across the top of the top 3 pulleys? I can't see any other possible way but it's just that it hardly touches the water pump pulley and that's where the noise seems to be coming from. Has any one got a diagram?

Great thanks mate. That's how it is on but it squeals like its slipping on the pump. It just didn't seem to have enough purchase on the pump, cos when it snapped i just guessed it. The only belt that stop it for a while. is the soft ones from halfords. A new one every couple of months ain't bad I know but I just wonder why it's doing it cos I've changed the water pump now.

Sure it's not the Aircon compressor that's doing the squeeking?
