I, like Tunnie and Opti, am a young(ish) stud at 29.

So it's definitely the V6 you need if you want to impress friends and snag the girl of your dreams  ;D ;D ;D ;D :y :y :y :y :y

An Omega is definitely NOT the car to buy if you want the girl of your dreams  ;D ;D ;D

Unless she's over 60  :-X

Utter rubbish Jonny. The huge boot capacity means you could probably get 3 perfect girls in it!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

not quite the birds your thinking of..

Economy and servicing, not much between them to be honest. Insurance, errr....   ....get some quotes :y

2.2 is easier to work on until the HG goes (normally around 150k). Early 2.6s have duff seal seals, bit of a pig (head off) to sort. Both suffer the usual faults - coil packs, cam cover gaskets, breather etc...

Don't think an Omega impresses the girls mate (4 pot or 6 pot) - but is a good sha**ing wagon  ;)

To impress the girls look to the sporty motors - found my Ferrari Dino was good as was my E type & TR6 :y

i dont think that should make it higher as the car has a smaller engine and is slower and should be less likely to have a crash so the insurance should be cheaper for a smaller engine car not higher so i think they just rip you off every chance they get and they should not be allowed to do it as it isnt fair on people thats what i think anyway

Of course its going to be higher when the value is higher.

Additionally, the stats will show facelifts to be high risk, as more are getting written off, as not worthwhile to fix.

I don't think it's just the 2.2 Ralf, insurance is getting very silly in general.
