Opel Omega 2.2 DTI (MV6 ;) )
« on: 27 January 2012, 10:38:34 »

Hi!

I've decided to put my car here because it has now some Vauxhall bits which made the "continental" car looking different . This is a 2002 2.2DTI Opel Omega bought from german owner in 2008. It was a basic "edition" spec but I think that it was better equiped than basic vauxhall spec (GLS I guess?). It had sport seats, cruise control, sat nav ncdc 2015 with GID, all electric windows, 16' alloys.

Two years ago It looked that:

During my ownership I've put on it:
-original headlamp washers
-complete hella xenon headlamps
-17' ELITE (EXECUTIVE) alloy wheels
- leather seats instead sport ones
- parking sensor

I've "repaired" ugly doorcards

After more than one year of using this car I realised that It had rain sensor that didn't work:p After some searching I bought new one (JG) which fits my front screen (previous owner changed It) and sold old one (UA - for solar screen) so repair cost me nothing. Now It works perfectly.

I've switched GID to CID next.

last year I fitted complete electric seats mechanism. It is pretty easy job, but you need to take off covers from back seat because its electric motor is inside. I switched material to leather door card's panels.

I hope you are not bored yet because here is what I really want to show you. Later I put back door prodrive spoiler and this year finally I fitted mv6 (prodrive) front bumper:) Oh I almost forgot that I've changed front grille to the genuine irmscher one (I removed Irmscher badge and put opel one).

Thank you for watching:)

That's a very smart looking car. Have you thought about painting the bottom part of the front bumper black? Looks great on silver cars and makes the front look really mean.

I don't want to do anything with styling right now. It was hard (but not really expensive) job to find complete prodrive bumper with towing eye cover and lip. This one is complete and looks smart too:) I need to make some better pictures with it. I was thinking about espace front lip which I saw somewhere here but I think It's just 2.2DTI and It would look silly.
