2.2 dti heater plug fault

Hi when i started the car at 6 this morning the heater plug light came on and the heater plugs worked temp was -4 the car has been parked up all day at work some 14hrs ive come out to start the car temp -0.5 and there was no heater plug light turned the ignition off and on again just in case i missed the light and it didn't come on the car was a pig to start what could this problem be where would you start to look for the solution, i need the car to start in the morning as im out at 6 am again :(

Glow plug relay at the rear of the underbonnet relay box would be my first starting point.  :y

All was well this morning and when i got out of work this evening problem seems to have gone away
