URGENT! Wont go in gear...

Guys

2000 'W' reg 2.5 CD Auto - started car today and it wont go into any gear. Hear a clicking sound when I pull the auto box 'trigger' on the shift stick but its locked in park and wont move.

Need help urgently please...!!!

Prise gearstick surround up and press the yellow release lever

.. and check your brake lights are working before you venture out, as this is often caused by a failed brake light switch. :y

Lever should release when footbrake is pressed. If it persists it`s more likely to be a dodgy brakeswitch rather than the solenoid itself
