Is this about right?
« on: 23 March 2008, 22:55:26 »

150 miles in the Disco v8 tonight, £40 refil = 18 MPG.

That's all motorway, 58mph.

I may be wrong, but I would expect about 23mpg on a steady run like that? Is there a potential problem, or is this just normal?

That's the one Jaime, it's a 300 series..

If it really is correct then I am happy...

I spotted a couple of loose pipes in the engine bay earlier, I'm wondering if there may be a vacc leak etc, I will investigate in daylight :y

In all seriousness, If it goes through it's MOT alright, I'm going to put an LPG kit on there... it's stupid not to, given the rate I will save...

I once (briefly) owned an 85 Rover SD1 Vitesse.

Used to ave 23mpg, on a run 30+ :o

What a car, when the exhaust split one time, the sound that came from it was absolutley phenomenal.

Headed straight into the town for the coo run anto annoy all the neds with their bb4's!  ;)

Come to think of it, the SD1 got better MPG than my miggy, went faster than my miggy, and sounded better than my miggy. :o

But I couldn't really fit in the rover. (6'3)

Thats why it had to go. :'(

Anyone who has ever driven one will know what I mean.

P.S. ames, keep the V8, even if just for the noise. :y

Sounds like something is not quite right on your Miggy then.....plus, the fuel computers in the SD1 were certainly not believable!
