Help with light bulb typ
« on: 12 February 2012, 13:43:22 »

Hej!

I need to change some light bulb from the inside of my Omega. Also i want to change them with LED. The problem i have is that i did't manage to find what type of bulb i need.I think they are T5, but not sure.   Below is an picture with the area of where the bulbs have been located.
PS: also, what type of LED bulbs i need for changing the bulb from the back o speedometer?
In the pictures from car parts dealers, a lot of light/led bulb look similar, but there dimension are different.

Hej do!

Dont use LEDs, they don't work well in cars using lightguides for illumination.

On my old Astra F, i used LED for speedometer and turometer. i liked more the withe color insted of the yellow from normal bulbs. I also used a LED for cigar-lighter.
Something similar i want to use in Omega, but don't know the type of lightbulbs.
For the Astra i took the bulbs with me to the store and compared. In my new location i don't have a close store for comparability and i want to order them over internet.

HI  :y
Just for some advice as to what is out there in led type bulbs for Omegas, although I'm sure you could fit different colours of ordinary 286 or 509T type bulbs too, I saw green ones in halfords today, I got the white, but its all a matter of choice, follow the link might make it easier to choose.
