Dash Warning lights problem

I think I've bought a F****** lemon, some of my dash board lights weren't lighting up so took the dash out only to find that the EML, ABS & TC lights had no bulbs so put new bulbs in and guess what, THEY DONT GO OUT >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( tried the paper clip test but the EML doesn't flash just stays solid, any clues before I torch it :'( :'(

Paperclip should work. :-\

Might be worth trying the pedal trick just in case it is a mini facelift with a later ECU  :-\

ABS/TC lights point towards ABS ECU - they come up on here for around £40, but a bitch to fit.

17 135 31 12 ;)
Purely from memory - 17 is passenger side knock sensor, 135 is low batt, 31 is ok, 12 is nothing.

It's a 97 I'm still driving it at the mo :y
Hmmm, might be out of luck. What is the last letter of the VIN - if its V, cry, if its W, happy days :)
