Paperclip test on that, not pedal trick.

ABS/TC lights point towards ABS ECU - they come up on here for around £40, but a bitch to fit.

I'll have the ABS ECU off of my 2.5 CDX.
What year was the cdx?

It's a 97 I'm still driving it at the mo :y
Hmmm, might be out of luck. What is the last letter of the VIN - if its V, cry, if its W, happy days :)

About right FFS, it's V  :'( :'(

Incompatible I'm afraid, as your CDX one is a 3 channel system, post 98 is 4 channel.

Typical  :-\  so will that or any of the codes cause the EML to stay on?

That ECU will only bring on ABS and TC lights. Its unrelated to the engine management light.

Engine light is probably the 17.

Probably going to be less trouble to send it to BBA reman. All the reports on here seem to be positive. For around £100 will get your ECU back & no worries about having to get it coded to match the car.

That said......... you could get someone to connect it to Tech 2 to check that it isn't complaining about a faulty wheel sensor first.

Don't know it just pulled it out when he checked the ABS system, I'm asuming it's built in to the ABS ECU but was hoping it was a seperate item.

Well got around to sorting the ABS/TC but by a fluke rather than on purpose finished off fitting the front hubs & wishbones & bled the brakes then took it for a test drive braked hard & yep the ABS kicked in so tried the TC on some grass & it's back working as well so put the bulbs back in the clocks & they've both gone out  :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y :y
