Changing Glo-Plugs on a 2.5D - Easy?

Any advice quickly before i start removing the inlet manifold?  Will i need new gaskets?

Should take about an hour.
Easier if you take the inlet manifold off and be carfull not to drop the nuts from 5 & 6 as there a pig to retreive from the the side starter.
Also buy a set of inlet gaskets before you strip it down in fact ive got a set of 6 here :y

Cool, thanks for the tip!  No Haynes manual you see so thought i'd better ask!

A spare kit huh, no good there is it! ha ha.. Do you have the part No and i'll pop upto Vx's and pick a set up  :y

Vauxhall will have to order a set, try your local Land Rover Dealers, the same engine was used in the Range Rover ;)

Best to fit only Beru or NGK plugs. :y

Manifold gaskets are also available from BMW and Land Rover dealers too. ;)

Just phoned my local Vx dealer and its £17 trade, which isn't to bad i spose - I'm lazy  :D and Vx is neaer to me than the other dealers so i've ordered it there lol

Cancel that, John has some and he's going to send them to me! Amazing!  :y  :y  :y

On a 94 model I had, I couldn't get the manifold off. I'd say it took 4 hours. It's also easier if all the oil filter bolts were never replaced!!! But 1 hour is fast!!

Well give or thake a few minutes(hours depending on skill) and as Jammie said including a tea break and bacon roll for me as i'd had the f****r of more than a dozen times  ;D ;D

Pretty easy job TBH. i removed the EGR while i was at it and blanked that off.  Just waiting for the car to cool down to see if they work from cold - which of course i hope they do lol  ;D
