My sons xbox 360
« on: 24 March 2008, 20:10:24 »

My sons xbox 360 has broken tonight this is the second time, it's only 3 months after it was repaired the first time. Now my son has to wait 2-3 weeks to get it back. I hope it gets sorted this time.

Red ring of death?  If so, and assuming it was done by MS agent, they should have modified it to reduce likelihood of reoccurance  :-/

Of course, if he's on it every second of the day, it may overheat - send him outside to play ;D

had my xbox 360 since October, been trouble free.

It is the later one though, has HDMI and updated heatsink.

On my second. Have to say from the nightmare experience of getting the first one sorted - don't buy from PC World. IMO :y

Got two mates who have them and both are on their third. One of those is now fussy about what DVDs it reads and what it doesn't, a sure sign he is about to go on to no. 4. They bought theirs from Game and have had no hassles at all, straight swaps every time

Shameful reliability  >:( >:( >:(

Got mine back in October 2006, and its still going strong :)

I hammered it aswell given I'm in Uni on a games course, so its been on a hell of alot.  Sold it to a friend last July, and he's constantly on the thing now too!

never once skipped a beat or crashed.  The only ever problem I had with it was with a dodgy TDU disc!  Oh, and busting the headset...

Had mine a couple of years, its been flawless.  In fact, only fault I can find is the fan noise is intrusive!

Does it have sufficient airflow.

Wii is more fun, both Xbox and PS haven't cottoned on to that yet.

For a couple of weeks then you realise the games are shite and get bored of them.........unless you have had a few beers !

Thats the key - with Wii, you can come back with your mates, and enjoy a bit of piss taking playing the Wii. MS and Sony games are just too complex to have a 10 minute laugh on after a few jars...

Yeah has a suffcient airflow lot's of air all around it, wii is great for fun and exercise i find the 360 better than the PS3 when you look at actual specs (well thats what my son told me).

He knows not of what he speaks......trouble is the PS3 is still awaiting a game that shows its real abilities....
