It's really amazing what the Human Body is capable of at times to keep itself alive, especially when it is so ridiculously easy to kill it in other ways? :-\

Well, if it was cold enough (and the report seems to suggest that) it is possible for the body to enter into a kind of statis that lowers the metabolism quite substantially as well as slowing down all the other functions.

seen enough cold weather survival videos to support that theory, plus have had first hand experience of being plunged into freezing water way above the Arctic circle, jeez it feels as though your heart has stopped! In fact it does slow right down to limit the danger to itself from returning cold blood.
Not quite the same, in this case, as that is a shock cold rather than a slow creep cold, but, yeah... I thnk it is plausible.

I'm still not sure.. :-\

I dont think I can make it even with a sleeping bag in front of door in the car at -10 until morning , let alone more than -20 and months.. I would be very ill at best..

even the cats outside go inside the insulated boxes or inside the home roofs..

And if I lived in an area with that kind of cold and snow, your damn well assured that I would be travelling with some sort of emergency kit with rations etc.

For some reason I can never see your pics Mindaz. No idea why, may be the firewall we have installed, or it may be where you are hosting them from!

I have problems with your pics too, and you certainly post enough of them. What's with the 'payout processed successfully' before the picture tries to load?
