Hi,
I have a Omega B 2.2 gls, the car has recently developed a clutch slip, can anybody give me advice on what can cause it.
Could it just need bleeding or will it need a complete new clutch kit.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

could be a sticking release unit or clutch needs total replacement as friction plate worn out

A complete new clutch kit is required. LUK parts are ideal for this job, good quality and very reasonably priced..

It's really not too bad a job, being rear wheel drive there is lots of access.

If you get a garage to do it, don't let them quote you any more than 3 hours work....

Partner is going to have a go tomorrow, have read the how to guide, not quite sure how the clutch hose separates but it is getting a bit dark now maybe see better tomorrow.
discovered a little oil leak from cam cover so probaby the cause as engine was brand new in 2008 by previous owner so presume they woud have checked the condition of the clutch. We purchased in 2009 and hardly done any miles. If it is just the oil can it be cleaned of or can we just buy the clutch disc.

Just a little update, Partner (Lee) started to follow instructions for clutch change yesterday with lots of advice from James.
Started today thinking just the bellhousing bolts and she will be out, but oh no not yet.
Been at it all day, and it just wont budge, we think it is clear of the dowels as it is approx 1 inch (that's about 2cm to all you young ones)off but it just wont budge anymore.
Any advice appreciated.
Will hopefully have it off before it gets dark but otherwise another day and hopefuy rested arms will see it off tomorrow.

can you twist it a bit can get a build up of rust on the end of the shaft.

Finally it is off, rusty as anything but no sign of coolant or oil on it, than again there is nothing on it, it is as bald as a coot.
Cannot believe it is so worn out when only fitted with new engine in 2008 and hardly done any miles.
Still now I have to find a new one, maybe secondhand .
Does anybody know if a vectra or any other will fit, I have been looking at sizes and pics but not sure.
Why is the 2.2 more expensive than all the others.
Any help appreciated.
