Replacing rear springs, especially on a FWD, should take no more than 1 hour (less than that on a lift TBH) so depends how much extra they want to sting you for the other side £100 is a pretty good price if that's supply and fit, but I expect it will be a cheap, no-name spring

Quite likely. I priced up a pair for the back of her Astra G a few years back, Vx wanted £160-odd for the pair. I bought a pair of pattern for less than £40. For the amount & type of driving she does, the pattern were plenty good enough.

i've advised her to get a pair done and she's going to her garage next to her work for a quote
