Red Antifreeze, all a big con price wise??
« on: 26 February 2012, 08:48:14 »

Guys - haven't got time to go to VX for the red stuff

popping to my local auto parts place shortly
He's got 5 litres for £13, Halfords have advanced red stuff for £25

cheaper option or the more costly?
or is it all a big swizzle?

Cheers

If you're changing it every 2 years, go for the cheap stuff, IMHO.

If it's not likely to get changed that often, go for the advanced.

EDIT: But the VX stuff on TC is much more cost effective. Long life product for the cost of Halfrauds basic stuff, near enough.

I did mine as the "big freeze" started, VX is just round the corner to me so I gave them a go.... £13 for 3 litres, mix it 50/50 with water, pop it in your system.... Done. IMO at £13 it's not worth putting anything else in....
