From reading this page virtually every day I have seen that the vast majority of posters have moaned about something at some point. Some of them are exceptionally regular posters with very high scores too! There is no-one on this earth who has not moaned about something and in my opinion to have to have a certain number of post is ridiculous and uneccessary. Everyone has their own point of view and even the newbies should not be restricted just because they are newbies. That is the worst kind of discrimination because until they have posted no-one can possibly know what they will post. Having to have 250 or whatever posts to be able to will not alter the fact that even after they have achieved the magic number their first post still might well be a moan!
Seems to be far too many who would be the boss and think that only they should have a viewpoint or moan......Sad but it looks like its the truth.
To have the 250 restriction for selling is valid and stops it being used by anyone to just sell after joining and not become a long term contributing member.
If this post causes offence then I am sorry, but it is my viewpoint and I stand by it. I still get a good laugh from the moans anyway because some of them are really pitiful, pity others cannot adopt the same attitude.  ;D ;D

Well said :y :y

Having read again all of these pages it seems for me that if there is any problem it's that only for "old rajas" ( how we say hereby ) but not for relatively newbies. I say "relatively new" cos it's hard deciding whether who new member : somebody who has not too many posts or somebody who registered not too long ago. Anyway even more section might have been being created that could be read by anybody but posting would be limited for some reasons. Not in connection with it but I must admit looking back to my activeness on the Forum my own person is not too useful being my car is really good condition and I could post not too many to the help section neither ask nor support...I say it cos it also can be a point of view : who gives help , who posting mostly pointless stuffs. Even one view came to my mind : the member's age and here I must mention Entwood's opinion who's right when talks about generational differences. I'm 40yrs old and often nor do I understand the younger as we don't have a common theme, different views we have, unfortunately they speak unknown language either Hun or English no matter. That's why I say that if here were more than two category (+ - 250 posts) included the views above too I'm sure it would be really beneficial for all of the members. Good luck mates!         Laszlo

Oddly, this isn't the only forum that seems to be suffering a little....

I use a social networking, nightclub/event site that's been going far longer than facebook, but in the last year is down to a 3rd of it's post count from 4 years ago. I also use a tech forum that in the last 6 months has had only 27 posts (& 5 of those were me), whereas it used to take me 2 hours twice a week to read everything.

Now I know that facebook is still the "current thing" (can't even remember my myspace password!), but I thought oof-type forums would be less subject to fads, as they are more specialist, but my tech forum appears to prove that this is not the case.

I wasn't here before the gendis separation, and to be honest I very rarely read it as I'm here to offer advice (a little), & gain advice (a lot (and thank you all again :y)), as time just doesn't permit it. I use facebook for humour, general p*sstaking, and some work stuff- although that side of it is private groups that are invite only, as it allows us to discuss things without "bosses" being aware......I was once sacked for a facebook comment  ::)

I would've thought that the separation was a bad thing, but if it was turning into offensive stuff that wasn't getting modded effectively to stop it (I would guess because no-one mods 24/7) then I can see why.

I have enjoyed banter with a number of oofers, and really hope to continue to, that being said it is very hard to offend me as I don't take myself too seriously. Fat, nearly 40, no oil painting, divorced, skint & driving an omega, how can I?  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I do think there are too many forums/social network sites around nowadays, and I sincerely hope that some of the things I've read tonight don't lead to a split off, or any more falling out than has happened already. As pointed out earlier, the number of migs on the road is falling (I'm responsible for 2 of them  :-[), so maybe that's behind the slump, but there's at least one person here that no longer has one, & that hasn't stopped him joining in.......and Dave DND has never had one, & he's always good for a debate!!!

So, I've not got the highest post count, have only been to one meet (although will be attending Essex at Easter), am not the most knowledgeable (by a long shot), & have met very few members but I like it here, and long may it continue!!

Night y'all

Much love

xxx

I think everyone has to vent now and again and tell the odd joke be it funny or not, I mean lets face it pubs are closing down up and down the country and as those were the usual place we would all meet and tell bad jokes and talk about our bad day or current affairs.
It now seems the forums have become the place for this cause we can get some beer tins from the store and sit in the comfort of our own home and waffle away to our hearts content.
Lets not loose freedom of speech however I for one draw the line at racisim its a no no evey man woman and child no matter the colour of their skin are and should always be seen equal. And I am married to a lovely filipina who's job is of a very high position she is the principal bread winner in the house and she works damn hard too.
