It's a jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag man! :P :P :P :P
Yup, goldie has been naughty and as I fix one problem another unfolds so I have decided to retire her to the big fat breaker in the sky :'( I will be breaking her for parts and moving the lpg kit on to this:

And yes, it's the proper jag with the Straight 6:

I picked her up for a song with no MOT which she passed today with only a few advisories. Happy days 8)
(Right, now to get a hold of Teilo for a 91L spare wheel tank!)

Welcome to the world of Jag owners mate :y
-
Does it smell of wee?
-
I like it. With the best part of 400 BHP it should be fun. :y :y
-
Beautiful car!
-
Lovely. :y
-
Beautiful car!
Sure is. Personally, not the right colour for a Jag, but great cars, if occasionally stubborn.

I like the colour & even the pale interior.
-
:y
The colour looks best in person, and it will look better once I have done a little work to it :y
And 'only' 321hp on these unless I upgrade the pulleys on the SC ::) Still pulls like a train and leaves most things behind :y
-
We do pulley upgrades where i work.
http://www.powerhouseautomotive.co.uk/content/jaguar-performance-upgrades.html
Self fit or we do it for you.
when you ring speak to Lawson...him boss man, but tell him carl gave you the lead....i don't anything for it but it look's good!! :y
-
Me like that lots :y :y
-
Nice. Always fancied one of those myself but one has never turned up in the right condition at the right price and right time. Yet...

I have been given the details of that place before, I didn't that's where you worked :y
My priority is the lpg kit and that is rated to 320hp. This means that I will already be pushing the kit to the max and thus have to set it to switch over to petrol at a certain, as yet undetermined, rev range. Although tempted by the pulley upgrade I dont think it wise as yet (unless I upgrade the vaporiser ::) hmmmmm )
-
Very very nice 8) 8) 8) 8) I hope it serves you well :y :y
-
Looks like a tidy example, these are known for cracking exhaust manifolds and for sticking throttle bodies, the throttle bodies are horrible to remove to clean them on the SC straight six lumps though they do pull really well for a big car.
-
Very swish :y
Is the General jealous? ;D
-
Hummmm Jag :-*
Its the only serious contender for a replacement of the Omega.
Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh :y
-
very nice always liked jags :y :y
-
Nice 8) , Is that the aerial in picture #2 :o :o
-
An all round lovely car , enjoy it .. :y
-
Cracking car and is on my wish list.......although ive been told you need to weigh over 21 stone to drive one and have 3 chins.
-

Yup and it still works, as do the folding wing mirrors, not bad for a 15 year old car :y
-

Ah, see thats where I have gone wrong. I seem to have misplaced 3.5 stones and the extra chins I was carrying 7 months ago :y
-
Get practicising your welding :y
-
Get practicising your welding :y
Yes there is an area which was highlighted in the MOT, 1st skin already gone. I need to treat what's left and see if it needs a patch repair. I think I see a welding course on the horizon ;D ;D
-
I like those cars.. :y
but problem is my citizens like them also.. even a 20 year old jag costs much more than an omega..
and parts are either non-existent or astronomic.. :-\
-
Very nice , my mate had the 4.0 sport without the s/c ...even that threw you back in your seat .
-
Don't bother with Teilo for the tank... He has to order from elsewhere so probably easier to source yourself ;)
As for bigger Vap... If you're going to upgrade the pulleys you're probably looking at a twin vap setup anyway :-\

He's sat in the corner telling me what to type, although he said it's only because it's that Guffer bloke (who needs to repair my smashed iPhone for me) that he's given the advice ::)

As the owner of the same series of Jag [although mines a 3.2 non supercharged]I can see where you're coming from.I hope yours turns out to be as reliable as mine has been these past 4 years.

Oh, yes, that's the one that got a UKLPG certificate whilst installed upside-down. (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/26795734/Smilies/rofl.gif)

I've got one of them.
Same colour, too.
have never seen more than 17mpg out of it - even when trying.
once saw 7.2mpg for an afternoon's track work
-
Ah, an XJR. (drools). Always fancied one and will get one. Eventually. Enjoy it mate. :y
-
I thought it was the fuel costs that were going to be eye watering.......then I put some new rubber on the rears! Ouch! :o

Yes that one! ;D
Seth, it won't fit in the JAG boot so I have to go toroidal. I'll be offering it up to the membership unless you want first dibs?

Never heard of a TD running on LPG .... unless someone knows differently! (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/43954633/rofl.gif)
Thanks for the offer though! (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/43954633/rofl.gif)

Autos are lacking some of the rear suspension supports and I think the rear ARB, plus they don't have LSD. You might like to get an exchange rear subframe from a scrap manual....?

You can get mixer systems for tractors ;)
System squirts a little lpg in to help it burn better and giving you more grunt ;)

A little,......upto 85% on lorries!
