Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Flat battery !!!!
« on: 17 June 2009, 19:21:35 »
HI All

Hope you can help, the battery on my V6 went flat 2 weeks ago so had battery changed all was fine for 2 days, on 3rd day after new battery was fitted came out in morning to start car and the battery was flat again, once again had new battery fitted that one lasted 1/2 days and then flat. Have checked charge rate and that is fine just under 14v, un-plugged centrol locking, car is pulling 0.6 amps for 30 seconds once engine switched off then drops to next to nothing. Am now at a loss as to what it could be ????

I have not removed or added anything in the last year, it is driving me mad, there is one other thing i forgot to say and that is that the rear fogs light have also stopped working...the light on dash lights up to say that the fogs are on but the lights on back of car do not light (its not the bulbs)

Many Thanks

Hi

I had the same problem with my omega and it was the crank shaft sensor. I got a new sensor from ebay for about £25 and it takes ago an hour to change if you access it from under the car. Hope this helps
