Try turning radio on then pushing button 1 if original tuned station comes on push same button until channel is heard then do the same to all other tuning buttons that should sort it.
If it doesn't you will have to completely retune the radio.

I would change them just to be safe, they don't look very healthy to me.

There are two types 1 is around £40+ the other is around £60+ the difference is the connector 1 has square corners the other has rounded corners so have a look at the connector before you go and buy it.

Do the paper clip test and see what codes if any come up post them up here  for advice for howto look in maintenence guides, but I think cem may well be right.

6
It's on the side of the plenum chamber on top of the engine it has an electric cable on one end and a 1 inch diameter pipe on the other, if you look in the maintence section you should find a how to do it there.

7
Go to your local Halfords or spares shop ask for carb cleaner it's in a n aerosol can then remove the idle air valve from the plenum give it a very good clean with the cleaner( be careful it's extremely flammable) then a small squirt of a thin oil (3in1or similar) to lubricate it then replace it and all should be well.

If your car is an auto that is probably the gearbox breather pipe, it sould not be connected to anything just left open and cable tied to the breather pipes.

I tried that stuff once didn't seem to make a bit of difference to the car, if you want to look after your miggie engine there is nothing like regular oil & filter changes also I wouldn't put it in the gearbox or axle as it might react with the oil in them.

Hi Keiran, that is commonly called the steering idler it's not a hard fix but you need a taper breaker as part of the removal process, there should be a how to do it in the maintence section.

That light should come on for a few seconds then go out, the only way to check it is to remove the dash panel and look, how to do that is in maintenence section.

Hi Brian, if you have a look on the maintenence section you should find all the info you need to fix your problem and possibly photos as well.

Omega General Help / Re: rpm sensor fault
« on: 13 October 2008, 20:20:48 »
As dbug says it,s the crank sensor and it WILL go pop just when you don't want it to like mine did a few months ago right outside
Devon & Cornwall Police Headquaters in Exeter.
Before you go to buy one beware there are TWO types for the miggie one has a square ended connector the other has a rounded end connector, so have a look at yours so you order the right one and use the Vauxhall one if you can afford it (lasts longer).

Omega General Help / Re: brake light switch

To get to it it's easier if you move your seat back as far as it will go and lay the back rest as flat as it will go then you can lay on the seat  with your head on the floor then with the aid of a bright light you can see the switch.
