i know nothing is simple in these engine bays.typical i changed crank sensor last week wipers off etc, week before cleaned breathers wounder if i damaged hbv in the process?
i think the hbv is the cause of my water leak seams a simple enough job to do but i need to know do i re fill the collant via the expansion tank, how much anti freeze to use & how do i make sure there are no air locks after topping up?
hi all just dropped my freind home when coolant level message came up so i stopped & level had dropped approx 1" below lower level, topped her up set off stopped at lights & saw steam comming from bonnet approx where expanstion tank is,i guess the water is being forced out of over fllow? water temp higher than normal. any ideas? would it show on paper clip test?
i have not fitted sensor just wanted to know if it was a new fault or not car keeps cutting out when i pull up to lights etc which is a bit hairy with an auto
just done ppc test & got code 19 the question i need to ask is does the code clear its self when new part fitted? i changed crank sensor 2 years ago would that code still be there?
im cleaning the breather unit that sits on top of the plenum which is straitforward but should i clean the pipes attached to it & can i clean them in situ or do i have to take them out?
im still trying to find the best tyres for my motor? used to have pirelli p7s but they made the front move around & wallow bablly at low speed they would only last a couple of thoushand miles. i now have cheap & nasty accelera not bad in the dry but terrible in the wet. has any one out there found a soultion?
