It got sticky for a week or two then stopped working altogether.  I should have reacted sooner and had a go at rectifying it before it got to this stage.

Your suggestion is definitely worth having a look at.  Can I access the wiring at the bottom of the B Pillar with the door closed?  Unsure of the loom routing to and from the door in that area.

Omega General Help / Rear left door deadlocked

Good evening OOFers,

First time I have needed to post a request for help, normally someone else has already had the problem and I just follow the advice given by the rest of the group.   :D   :y

Sadly I have run into a right "Blankety-Blank" problem with my MFL Omega Estate.  CL Servo on Rear Left Door has packed up, but it seems to have done it in the 'Deadlock' position.   :'(

Are there any "tricks of the trade"  that someone can share with me, with regards to accessing the interior door workings without having to hack the Door-card apart??

(Manual Door Lock button won't move up either, that is how I reached that conclusion regarding 'Deadlocked').

I did read on one earlier thread that there was a recommendation to disconnect the vehicle battery for a while, then reconnect and see if the Servo came back to life.  I will give this a go in the morning to see if it works.  Otherwise it is time to consider a complete CL Servo Motor swap out - the old girl is 17 years old and these are the still all original parts from when she was assembled in 1997.

Being Europe based, I drive a LHD 'Opel' Omega, Irmscher Sport 2 Edition, 3.0 V6, Manual transmission.  A little heavy on the fuel consumption around town, but will happily purr down the motorways at 125 mph, and that is where she feels most at home.   8)

Hi Michael and Chris,

postage details and code sent off tonight.  Been out of the country on Contract Work and missed the notifications, sorry.

Hope I did not inconvenience anyone.

@ Admin - madflags and madflags1 are both me, but lost password to madflags (original log in) hence the follow up Username for a new membership account.  Please feel free to delete "madflags" from the system, as this account is inactive.  Cheers.

Otherwise, I hope all OOFers managed to survive the Winter and are enjoying the sunshine and the opportunity to get out and do some TLC activity on the Miggies.

thanks to all involved with sorting these new Bushes out for us.

madflags.

Do you think these will work on my left hooker '98 Opel Miggy too?  :P   Sounds like a good upgrade!  :y
Yes of course. Postage fees can be expensive though. Would you like a quote from Pedders for delivery to Germany, or do you have a UK address?
Actually heading in to meet Serek in Huntingdon on 17 December - will the parts be posted before then?  I'll check first if he doesn't mind me sending them to him and I'll grab them when I come over.

As discussed in the thread, 8-12 weeks delivery from Aus, so not likely.

More like February. Tbh.

And IMO, nearer spring the better. ;D

:-[ caught out for not reading the thread fully!  OK, I have a UK Postal Address i can send them to.  Please add me to your Buyers list Chris, and I will await your PM  :y

Thanks for the response everyone!!  :D

Hi Serek, I'll be driving onto you forecourt on Monday 17 December 0800hrs sharp.  My old man lives just up the road in Sawtry, so no great shakes there!

Looking forward to meeting you and also having the chance for a real Omage 'Meister' to give my "Autobahn Eater" a good once over. I have waited a long time to get the car back to UK and into the hands of people who really know the Omega.  :y

Cheers,

General Car Chat / Veteran OOFers Advice needed
« on: 11 November 2012, 03:29:17 »
Good morning to all,

I will be heading back to UK with my LHD 3.0 V6 Omega this December and I am hoping to get some work done on the car while I am there.  ::)

Problem is the heating, it doesn't work properly, which is a bummer in the Winter.  Even on max heat setting, I am getting a lukewarm airflow at best into the car.  :(

Read through the forum discussions many times reference this problem, and I am thinking (hoping/praying) that there may be a problem with the HBV rather than the Heater Matrix.

I am on a severely tight timetable while in the UK, and the one opportunity I have of getting the car to an "Omega Expert" is on Monday 17 December.  I will be in the Peterborough/Huntingdon area that day, so if any of you live close to there, or can recommend an Omega friendly garage in the area, I would be most grateful.  ;)

I have owned this car since 1999, she has wiped out my Bank Account with extreme proficiency on many occassions, but I am not ready to give up on the old girl yet!

Please feel free to drop me a line.  Any assistance and advice will be most welcome.  :y

Cheers
