I bought my Elite to cover 20k/25k business miles per year, mostly motorway miles. I had a limited budget so fitted x4 Nankang NS2s 225/55/16v £240 all in, over the past 3 1/2 years the mileage has gone from 70k to 150k ie 80,000 miles, the rear tyres have covered 35k (2mm left) fronts 18k (not half worn). Yes I am careful in the wet, but noise is low and wear good. look on 'mytyres.co.uk' for prices and more importantly 'test results' some tyres manufactures results may surprise you.
