Well our beloved Tony Blair, the MIddle East Envoy, has now come out (where has he been???) and stated that the Gaza embargo MUST end.

With the USA and 'Tony' stating this, then just perhaps all sides can be brought together in a big peace push and end this affair for once and for all

Perhaps some good can come out of this terrible affair

But I am not naive, so I am not holding my breath!!

for both sides..looking in Israel newspapers they are mostly defending themselves

and to our surprise some of them really query the mistakes ..

also its very obvious that internationaly most Jews living in other countries are not happy with the situation..
which will also effect the israel govt on the short or long term..

looking from our side , I'm afraid after the funeral today - although the problem seeming to be solved temporarily from outside world - in reality the problem is geared up to a higher level between us..and now its independant of triggering palestine problem (and of course it can trigger again).. I think both countries must be saved from their extremist govts.. with that mistake israel govt create a high vote potential here ready to be abused with the raising anger of crowds that can be hardly avoided..

and its not wrong to say; unexpectedly both countries central intelligencies had failed in the exam ..

On the background Usa, also was not ready for a situation like that.. which was also a surprise..

despite their "interesting" explanations that they give right to israel for security reasons as usual on the scene, now they began to see that this problem will also bring an extra cost and delay to their iran and middle east plans..

I'm worried that what-ever i post will either be ignored or shot down in flames (no pun intended).

I know my views on this as i've stated them on numerous occasions but i don't want to keep posting them in case people on here get bored!

I appreciate how important this topic is to both of you, honest, BUT would it not be better to pm each other? Just a thought

I for one has decided from my point of view that no more can really be added to the debate on specifically 'the ship' incident.  I am now just restricting making posts to emphasis the need for a settlement from both sides, with hopefully international pressure now to do so.  But my comments are now from a neutral prospective, as it is in all sides interest to resolve not criticise, with hopefully really clever people helping the resolution process.

Cem's situation is far closer to the issue, and it is his right as an international member to state his views as he so wishes.  That is correctly, in an environment of free speech, his right. 8-) 8-) 8-)

one point I wanted people to understand which is an answer to accusations of Netanyahu..

if the people on ships wanted to kill those soldiers

none of them would be alive now..
