What about a Saab lump? Should be slightly easier. Not sure if you've noticed, but in my engine bay, I have a plug that is GM and a socket that is Saab!

At least you are in the right ball-park, should be easier on mounts and electrics.

Supercharger kits are 3-5k new, thats using a modified standard ecu to allow for extra fuelling. Seen a kit up for 1.5k 2nd hand recently. However to get the most out of it (more than about 80bhp increase) you will be starting to get into upgraded engine internals, standalone ecu and probably a larger bore exhaust (fanimold to tailpipe).

So if you want about 80bhp only, supercharge. If you want more, get a larger engine to start with. The old saying - there is no replacement for displacement.

If you do change the engine, at least you'll have the 'unique' factor.
